Novacare commenced all Facility Management Services on July 1, 2009 with the relocation of the James Fletcher Mental Health Hospital on to the Mater Site, together with Hunter New England Mental Health Services Administration.

Also the Mater Hospital Redevelopment was officially opened on August 7, 2009 by Sister Jennifer Barrow, Congregational Leader of the Sisters of the Little Company of Mary as well as the Hon John Della Bosca, NSW Minster for Health.  The day was a resounding success with the Premier of NSW, Mr Nathan Rees also in attendance.
